    What is the difference between a certificate and a license?  A license is required to do nails or lash extensions in the state of Minnesota. You must attend a licensed beauty school with a Minnesota Board of Cosmetology approved course.     Re-Opening Guidance for In-Person Instruction Beginning June 10, 2020 we are not open to the public and limiting student capacity. Clinic and salon floor occupancy limitations: Services are only being performed on mannequins and the clinic or salon floor is not open to the public, occupancy for the space is limited to 25 people.
